i have a 1930's boosey and company cornet (pre-dating boosey and hawkes co.) it has no dents and all it needs is a good polish on the silver plating, i bought it for $100 off of a lady who had no interest in it.....i was wondering if it was worth any more than what i payed for it? |

Any chance of some pictures?
I am especially interested in exactly what the wording and design on the bell is like. Some of the models they made back then are truly excellent instruments, especially in good condition. |

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a description of the stamping will help. Some of the old ones are worth a great deal, some don't seem to generate much interest.
A Keefer cornet (a usually much sought after brand) just sold on ebay for the princely sum of 48 dollars, and have seen these go for ten times that on average. |

It depends if you want to play it or hang it up in the toilet as decoration.
