Made in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Vito is the name of LeBlanc's student line of instruments from post WWII till recent times. Named for Vito Pascucci (1922-2003), who together with Léon Leblanc (1900-2000) founded the company, the Vito line, particularly the clarinets were the bulletproof workhorses of beginning bands for several decades.

I know little about Vito cornets specifically, as LeBlanc purchased Holton during the Vito's heyday, and that became the trumpet of choice for many in the LeBlanc line.

If you are talking about an old instrument, it was made at the USA Holton factory for the LeBlanc Corporation. Caution: Conn-Selmer Inc. now has a new student line of "Vito" trumpet (T502) and trombone (TR502) made in Asia. However, there is no "Vito" cornet listed in the November 2004 Conn-Selmer price book. These "Vito" instrument list for about $200 less than their "USA" student models.
