Im not sure if this has been brought up in old post or not..but does any one know where I would be able to find the version of La Virgen de la Macarena for Trumpet and Guitar that Mark Gould did on the Cafe 1930 CD. Im sure that I could just give the Piano part to my guitar player, but I rather see if anyone knows how to get the music.

If any one has any information please Email me at srivera@mail.wtamu.edu

Hi belagozzo,

I finally had a chance to get into the Rafael Mendez Library today to look in the catalog and see if there was a version of "La Virgen" for trumpet and guitar.

Unfortunately, a search of the database did not yield a version of "LVM" for trumpet and guitar.

My guess is that Mark Gould probably did the arrangment himself.

If I find anything else out, Ill be sure to report back here.

I believe this particular version was an arrangement that was done by Raimos(?) Penaforte, Mark Gould's collaborator on that album. I think the liner notes have a web page. I have looked for a few of the pieces on that album but I came to the conclusion that they were not published. I really hope I am wrong on this.
