Here's a little something I need some outside advice on. I own several of the plastic #2 pivot system trumpet mouthpieces. I have one in lexan, one in ABS, and one in clear lucite. My regular mouthpiece is a Warbuton 5S, but I would love to have one of those #2's in metal in my collection. But that presents certain problems. For one thing you can't make lead templates on a plastic m.p, the plastic is too soft. As far as digital scanning goes, Pete Olstead had Kanstul scan a #2 but if came out way too shallow and way too flat. Any suggestions? Chris. |

so - what was the problem with the scan? I know nothing of the process, so I don't understand why they couldn't make a copy. Did you let Kanstul know that it wasn't even close?
sorry if I am asking dumb questions again
