Im really looking forward to the new Superman movie that is coming up soon.

I think the new movie is gonna be superior in terms of special effects because its 27 years since the 1979 original but its gonna be almost impossible to improve on the Christopher Reeve Classic Christopher Reeve had a certain something that you dont see every day.

Additionally they had an incredible supporting cast great writing and terrific visual effects.

My Girlfriend watches this soap called 'One Life to Live' on ABC and theres this 6 foot 5 inch character called Dr. Spencer Truman played by the actor Paul Satterfield. They even rib him on the show saying that he looks like Christopher Reeve's Superman. What do you think? I think they should have cast this guy as in the new Superman movie

Paul Satterfield Today

Christopher Reeve in 1979

I sure hope he has better luck after playing Superman than a few of his predecessors.

Kirk Alyn played Superman in two Serials in the early 1940s and couldn't get any other work afterwards.

George Reeves was also typecast after playing Superman in the 1950s TV series and later killed himself.

Christopher Reeve played Superman in four movies and then was paralyzed in a horse riding accident before dying 9 years later aged 52.

Yes, looks wise he would have probably been a better choice than Brandon Routh.

Paul Satterfield really looks like Christopher and would have been a much better choice to play the man of steel.

I do hope that Brandon Routh doesn't have the 'Superman curse' of being type cast or dying young like the rest of the actors who have played him.

I've seen the on line trailer and images for Superman Returns, and Brandon Routh doesn't look much Like Christopher Reeve. Either way it's going to be one hot movie on June 30th.
