I did not have this until recently.
Before, I'd've liked to play on a 3C for marching season (a change from the 1C I was used to), but it wasn't even an option after one day of playing on it.
I guess my experiment with shallowness did it. Let me elaborate.
The Bach Cs tend to move shallowness around along with the diameter size as opposed to changing only one variable.
I switched from my 1C to a Schilke 14A4A (nearly identical diameter) and got used to a different depth size...
and all was good . Played on that for several months.
Then I found an Al Cass mouthpiece.
Hm. Interesting. It felt a lot like the Schilke only with a smaller cup size.
I used that for about a week or two...
now I'm back to a 3C. And playing around with other sizes is just fine.
Is this a lesson well learned? Just fishing for some comments. Does this sound right? _________________ "Never practice, always perform."
