He's the end of an erra. So sad. I just met him last year at a small jazz club in St. Louis. He ate dinner next to me which was awesome (he liked his steak. haha) then after he was done eating he hopped right up on stage and played a huge set with the house band. I got a pic with him and a signature and I'll never forget talking to him. He was hilarious too.

Maynard wouldn't have wanted us to mourn his death; he simply would have wanted us to play our music two octaves higher...
