Do you mean Mount Vernon, New York?

It's not clear what the question is

[ Vincent Bach left Mt Vernon a long time ago, circa 1953. ]

In any event, the Kanstul Mouthpiece Comparator at http://kanstul.net/mpcJN/Compare/CompareIE.HTM
will allow your friend to see what has a different contour.

There are no Vermont Bach mouthpieces. He probably means Mount Vernon, New York (as Dave has suggested). If he is lucky enough to find a Mt Vernon Bach 1C or 1E, he can expect to pay $450 - $600 for one in good condition, judging by what they have sold for on eBay.

I'm with Tom LeCompte on this one. He could mean the Bach copies that Stork sells, made today in Vermont.

Heres a link: http://www.storkcustom.com/html/NYC%20trpt.htm

One could call that a Vermont/Vincent Bach 1C.

I was so excited when I saw the title of this thread--I'm one of the (apparently) four Vermonters on TH. Then it was a slight misunderstanding and not as awesome as I'd hoped. Storks are amazing though!

I guess I must write one last time with latest info's - My friend has a Vermont/Vincent Bach , bought at eBay , but he is looking for a 1C - I told him that he was lucky to get one over the web . Now with latest info's from
pitchlevel , he might find a way to achieve a mouthpiece ( reproduced ) copy of the original Vermont /Vincent Bach at stork... in N.Y.
Maybe laura C tpt has a good idea !?
PS : There must also be somewhat connection between Selmer and Vermont ??? The equipment ( from around 1950 ) for cutting the mouthpiece blocks are somehow not exsisting , so one can only find poor copies ... Is this true or can stork make a dream true for Michael ...? Greetings...

Well, as far as I know, Bach had no connection with Vermont. Is it possible your friend was scammed or something?

Mt. Vernon is the way to go with Bach mouthpieces (or so I'm told...again, I'm a Stork player).

Stork is not located in New York. It is located the middle of Vermont.

Please ask your friend if he is reading what is on the mouthpiece correctly. Does your friend's mouthpiece say: "V-E- R-M-O-N-T" or does it say "M-T__ V-E-R-N-O-N__ NY" ?

Could your friend send you a picture of the mouthpiece that you could post here?

FWIW: There are other companies that make Bach-based copies, such as Laskey and Curry.

Hello - Maybe in the end not so exciting for you but here the latest info's :
He has no original Vermont mouthpiece - he assumes that its a Vermont ... So , this is whats on it : Vincent Bach Corp. 2 C
And he is definatly looking for the best copy of Vermont / Mt. Vernon 1 C because 500 $ is too much for him... he told me he heard , that there are a lots of bad copies ... he can tell by blowing backwards throuw the mouthpiece - and if it whistles , than its a very good sign of quality...
Well , thats all ...
Greetings again...

Your friend can get excellent and more consistent copies of Bach mouthpieces from Mark Curry or Scott Laskey - and for well under $100. I prefer the Laskey or Curry copies to the Kanstul copies, but he can certainly find Kanstul copies of Bach Mt Vernon mouthpieces that may also be to his liking.
