You should not play with an unfinished brass mouthpiece. _________________ Bach Strad 37/25

Somone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Doc himself develop health problems late in life due, at least partially, to this very thing? |

I just read the article that was posted in this forum. It was the first that I had heard of it. Well, I'm just going to have to get the mp finished in silver. The original idea was that I'd have a rim that I could screw off and then put on a plastic rim for those cold days in Beaver Stadium. That's where Penn State is.

Why not just play a plastic rim year round? Doc made mouthpieces out of Lexan and Doug Elliott (former Reinhardt student) does the same thing. In fact, I just ordered a new rim from Doug that is made out of Lexan and, I believe, that Doug also plays Lexan rims. You might want to contact Doug and see if he can give you any recomendations or tips. |
