| I am working of the SA book. And I was just wondering. What exacly is the purpose for holding the last notes of some of the exercises in the begining? I hope you know what I am talking about. Claude says to hold the note out until your stomach starts to shake and you run out air. What is the purpose of that? |

Happy 2002!
You hold the last notes of all the "Part 1" exercises through out the whole book in this manner. The reason is to build the muscles that create the air power (the squeezing muscles of the chest, back and abdomen).
