A freshman in my section for marching band has a rudy muck mouthpiece. I told him to be careful cause it could be worth a lot of money. I believe it was a 17C are these common or can he trade it in and buy a car?

Devilisbad,

Try this site: http://rudymuck.info/

There is a bit of info on the mouthpieces as well as Muck's horns. You can email them, but they are working on getting th emouthpiece info together. I have an almost perfect 11M, Hand Made that I got with a '47 Conn 22B.

The guys at the Muck site told me that there is some more info at Jim Fox's site www.ibowtie.com with a comparison chart.

Good luck!

Bill

They are not all that rare, but they are excellent mouthpieces.
My personal favorite is a Rudy Muck 13C. I own 3 of them.
The most popular is the 19C, but Rudy Muck also made a 17C.
No, you can't buy a house or a car if you sell one, but you should be able to buy a few cases of beer.
