I've been searching (so far in vain) for "West Side Story" written for trumpet. I've checked the Hal Leonard site...nada. Anybody know if there is a book or publication out there that would have this? Or do I have to keep wrestling with a condensed conductor's score that requires me to continually jump around from trumpet to clarinet to whatever parts in order to hang onto the melody? (Kind of messy...it's a rearranged "selection of shorts" for school band and doesn't have all of the songs!)

What I'm looking for would probably be most like those Music Minus One books.

Thanks for any leads.

Hey,

Why don't you ask John Mohan. He's the wss man at the moment. I'm sure he'd help out the best he couldd. Maybe a private message would get to him fastest.

Nick

Hi Nick. Yeah, I thought of that but originally dismissed the idea since I'm not looking for trumpet exerpts so much as the "whole enchilada". But on second thought I'll give it a shot.
Thanks
