I know that Marsalis is using his P3 and it seens that Ryan Kisor is using a Schilke with a tunning bell. What about Marcus Printup? Who's the other guy?

Marcus Printup has been endorsing Weril. I have to question you about Ryan Kisor, it looks like the horn he's playing has round finger buttons... Not the Traditional hexagon you would associate with Schilke. It's really hard to say about whoever is next to Wynton bacause he's only in 1 shot that I noticed and it's a far wide shot. BUT, to me it looks like Sean Jones who had been on the band for a while replacing Seneca Black for a short stint. BTW Sean plays a Yamaha(Xeno I believe....?).

Ryan was playing a Schilke Faddis model in the Knoxville show that I saw a few months ago.

I am not sure of the site, but he is based in Luxemburg and is based on an Amati valve section.

I have heard that it's not just the valve section. The whole trumpet is supposed to be Amati-made. At least, this is what the rumors tell me. Which is finde, because Amati is constructing really good trumpets these days. Only, if you buy a BSC trumpet you are bacially buying an Amati Horn for 5 times the price you would normally pay.

I see that The New York Trumpet Company distributes them in the USA. Anyone know what the prices are and which models Wynton and Marcus play? Just curious.

I may email NYT Co. but figured I'd try here first. Thanks.

I play the BSC trumpet which I purchased from NY Trumpet Co. and have found that it is a well made instrument. The valves are extremely smooth and I have not had any problems in over a year. The model that Marcus Printup plays is the TR501G.

I haven't seen Sean in a while (he used to play with us in Chico O'Farrill's band about three years ago) and back then he was playing a Bach. Since then he moved to Yamaha. I've seen him playing a Xeno, but he told me he didn't like playing lead on it and continued playing the Bach for lead. I think I read somewhere (maybe Chase Sanborn's site, I can't remember) that he plays a Yamaha Chicago now, but the very end of the video shows his hands close up and that looks like a lacquer horn. I don't know, maybe it's the lighting.
FWIW, if you've never heard Sean live, you're missing out on one of the absolute best soloists you'll ever hear. He's like a crazy combination of Woody, Freddy, and Lee, and with tons of his own great ideas, and chops all night. As well as the LCJO, he was also playing with Harry Connick for a while. Might still be. All I know is, it was a pleasure sitting next to him in the section for the brief time I did.

Hey Johnny... can you say roughly what these horns sell for? Thanks

To the moderator....I tried to use "Quote" and a weird window came up... Oh well.
