There is a nice looking Baronet horn on Ebay. Has anyone heard of these before? If so, are they good quality? All I know is that they might be Buescher stencils. I'm looking for a better used horn than my Blessing B-126 Student horn. Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen only one Baronet in my life. Played it once, and ran away from it.

If you are looking for a vintage inexpensive player, just pick out an Olds Ambassador, Conn 17A, Beuscher Aristocrat, or Yamaha 2xx, set your spending limit, and go for it.

I you are hunting for a unique vintage horn that is a player, none of us is going to be able to tell you what to get that is right for you just from multiple ebay links.

If you tell folks about your playing level and interests, I bet lots of people will jump in with specific models to hunt for that *might* turn out to be what you are hoping for.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Very basic student level instrument marketed by York / Carl Fisher in the 50s according to an ad I have.

Is there any sort of year I should look for on the Olds Ambassador?
Ex: 1950s, 1960s?

50-'s-60's are said to be best. I used to have a 66 model that was of good quality. Check www.shopgoodwill.com There are usually a number of Ambassadors listed that may or may not be in the greatest shape, just like ebay. I got mine on SGW plus a couple of other horns.
