I was wondering why the width from the leadpipe through the tuning slide to where the tubing goes into the third valve is smaller on my S32 than it is on other horns ie..Kanstuls, Bachs etc. Also the bend radius from the bell section to where it goes into the first valve is smaller. Just curious if anyboby knew why? Thanks

If you are talking about the tighter wrap of the tuning slide and bell, this was just a design choice that Renold Schilke made. A lot of vintage trumpets, also have this tighter wrap.

Don't know if this answered your questions. I don't know any specific design reasons for the tighter wrap though.

Just know, it works!

That pretty much answers it, thanks Archie, and yes it does work!
