I sold a horn to Brad last week. I already owned a couple of his CDs and he sent me a couple more. Wow. This man is a world class jazz player.

Hey, Brad- I assume these recordings were made on a small bore Vega Standard Chas George? You get an amazing sound on that thing. I enjoyed the cds a bunch. At first I thought some of the sound quality might be due in part to EQ. But then on Dan's Mix, which sounds live, you still have that really smokey, sweet sound.

WOW

Thanks, Mike; and thanks for the horn!
My most recent leader dates were recorded on a Martin Handcraft Imperial "M" bore. This horn is a straight .440 bore.

"Dan's Mix" (the live recording on my website ) and my new CD being released in January were recorded on a late 1920s King Liberty. The Vega that I often play is a .440 bore "Artistone" model, with a very large bell.

Thanks for the kind words.

Couldn't agree more.
Brad is certainly a great player and has a really interesting and inspiring website too (www.bradgoode.com) -- just feast your eyes on all those horns.
Anything new in the pipeline after "Tight Like This" Brad?
