Have: have a beautiful Mt. Vernon 5C. The plating on it is pristine. There is small mark near the lettering but it is otherwise mint. What make this mouthpiece unique is that for some reason there is pseudo double cup. I have heard of this before. I have played with only a couple times and you can feel how it really helps with the upper register. But, I have another Mt. Vernon 5C that has a very slightly larger diameter and it is better suited to my embouchure.

Wanted: I am willing to trade for a Monette B4S S2. I am very curious to play this MP and give it a good go during this season.

Best Wishes,

DK

Hi

I'm looking to trade the following:

1 x Brand new (plastic bag never been opened) Bach 1 1/2C trumpet mouthpiece

1 x Denis Wick 4B cornet mouthpiece converted by Bob Reeves into an underpart for a Bach 3C screw rim with Reeves threads. I'm using my screw rim on another underpart, so sadly anyone interested in this underpart would need to own or source a suitable screw rim mouthpiece.

For:

Kanstul B10 trumpet backbores
Bach 3C trumpet mouthpiece
Denis Wick 2B cornet mouthpiece

All the best

Lou

I also have a hardly Kanstul B24 cornet backbore which I'm not particularly looking to trade, but would be willing to do so, if anyone has a Kanstul B10 cornet backbore in similar condition, which they are looking to trade for a B24.

I really don't need anything else, so am only interested in trading for:

Kanstul B10 trumpet backbore
Kanstul B10 cornet backbore

I have a yard in front my house. I have to spend a lot of time working in my yard. I have to cut the overgrowth lawn and grasses in a regular break. For this, I have to spend huge time. Can anyone give me any suggestion how can I save my time?

Hold trumpet in one hand with pistol grip ... play long tones while breathing through the nostrils while mowing yard with the other hand. Efficiently mowing while also playing soft long tones.

Yes, use your own product, the one to which you have posted a link (which I have no intention of looking at) in your signature, which for the purpose of advertising is obviously your reason for joining this forum and posting.

If I was interested in grass cutting, which I'm not, I'm hardly going to be interesting in buying from someone who joins a trumpet forum to blatantly advertise their product.

Goodbye!

Hi

I'm looking to trade:

1 x James R New cornet backbore. This is brand new and a copy of the B10 cornet backbores which I ordered from Jim New when he was at Kanstul. Unfortunately I forgot to specify that I particularly also wanted to replicate the shank dimensions of the Kanstul B series cornet backbores, and this backbore inserts around 2mm less than a Kanstul B10 cornet backbore and very similarly to a Bach cornet mouthpiece. It is a great backbore, but just doesn't insert far enough into the receiver for me personally on my Yamaha Xeno cornet.

For:

A Kanstul B10 cornet backbore

1 x James R New trumpet backbore. Rather than being his new S backbore, this is his version of a standard Bach 10 backbore. This is a great backbore, but after ordering one, I realised that it gaps very similarly to a Bach trumpet mouthpiece, and I prefer a smaller gap on my Yamaha Xeno trumpet like obtained with a Kanstul backbore. Rather than send this one back to Jim New to have it cut for sleeves, since I am in the UK, I decided to order another cut for sleeves, and am hoping to trade this one.

For:

A Kanstul B10 trumpet backbore.

I also have the following:

1 x Brand new (plastic bag never been opened) Bach 1 1/2C trumpet mouthpiece

2 x Bach 10 cornet backbores with Warburton threads from Mouthpiece Express.

Which I'm looking to trade for:

Kanstul B10 trumpet backbore
Kanstul B10 cornet backbore

All the best

Lou

Hi Steve

Thank you very much for your very kind offer, but I do have a Bach 3C. I'm now playing a 2nd generation Yamaha Xeno as my primary Bb and I have found that my mid 1990s Bach 7C which inserts 25mm into the receiver gaps fine (the supplied Yamaha 16C4 also inserts 25mm) whereas the two 2005 Bach 3Cs I have, insert only 24mm and give a less than idea gap.

I have some modular tops and 7 or 8 years ago I was trying to do the reverse. I had a Kanstul B10 backbore which inserted too far into the receiver of my Bach 37, and I had a UK tech sleeve it to match one of my 2005 Bach 3Cs. He was just starting out with his own range of sleeves at the time, and has since found a more accurate measuring system, but this early sleeve inserts 25mm, and turned out to be just the thing when I bought my Xeno, except that it is raw brass, and I am worried about receiver wear.

The same UK tech considered that my Bach 3C has a shank on the larger side of the Bach mouthpieces he measured, and I thought that that explained why my Bach 7C and Yamaha 16C4 insert 1mm further, and that a new backbore from Jim New would insert 25mm and could replace my raw brass sleeved Kanstul B10, but it inserted 24mm like my Bach 3C.

Jim New has been absolutely great and sleeved the other two backbores I had on order, before sending them to me, and sent me a selection of sleeves to try. I've found his 6.5 sleeve to be ideal.

I just thought that rather than sending the other backbore back to him to be sleeved, that someone maybe in the situation I was in 7 or 8 years ago, and using a Kanstul B10 backbore on a Bach trumpet, and wishing that they had one that gapped more along the lines of a Bach trumpet mouthpiece. In this instance, I thought that we could trade backbores.

If you have an older larger variant (sorry I sound very fussy, but I find the smaller variant 3Cs too small) Bach 3C which inserts further into the receiver, which you wouldn't mind sending me (bearing in mind that I am in the UK), that would be great, thank you very much, but I sadly only have what I list to send in trade, which I appreciate isn't much, since they are largely Bach 10 style backbores.

Thank you very much again for your very kind offer.

Take Care

Lou
