|
|
I have the Bb and Eb trumpet Haydn and Hummel Concertos parts but I just realize I don't have the C trumpet part. If any of you have a pdf file they can share with me I would appreciated.
I need the C trumpet part so that I can play the concertos in Eb major on a C trumpet.

I don't know about C trumpet parts, but I would just transpose the Bb part. You could do that pretty easy, and not have to worry about copyright laws...

C parts don't exist, and both pieces are long in the public domain, so you won't need to worry about copyrights. Just put them into Sibelius and hit the transpose button. _________________ Practicing is for the insecure. |

both of you guys are right, since I'm not at home I can't do that at this time and I won't be back home until Christmas.
I just thought someone here could have done what I'm looking for and save me the trouble
Thanks guys for your suggestions.

I got to believe that if you can play the thing in 4 flats like it will be on a C trumpet (2nd movement even more flats) that transposing from the Bb part should be a piece of cake. _________________ Best Regards, Play Well!! |

C parts certainly do exist. I bought the Hummel in E Major from Universal Edition and it came with Bflat, C and E trumpet parts.
To the op, sorry, but I have no idea where the parts are. Maybe I can find them this weekend. |

WIMA has the Haydn Eb part for Finale 2006 here: http://icking-music-archive.org/ByComposer/Haydn.php - there is a C-trumpet part, but it isn't the lead, so you'd have to read it in. I don't know, but maybe the free version of Finale (called NotePad) can read the 2006 version file and then you could transpose it. NotePad is a free download...
You'd need the 2008 version of Finale to get the Hummel (here): http://icking-music-archive.org/ByComposer/Hummel.php
Good luck...

The Jean Thilde edition has the trumpet part for C trumpet. This is the Maurice Andre series. My copy is very old so I do not know if it is still available.
Ghitalla performed it on a C trumpet I believe.

Ghitalla DID perform it on C. At least, he did so at the premiere. _________________ Tim Leasure

I think the coversation has morphed into the Hummel rather than the Haydn. I'm pretty sure Ghitalla did not premiere the Haydn!! _________________ Scott Apelgren

Yeah, Scott, Ghitalla was old, but not that old.
Think it was Anton Wiedinger at the premier of both, most likely in Esterhazy. |
