Interesting!! And why not? A composition involving online contributions was bound to happen sooner or later.

And the online concerto competition could be a really big boost for someone, maybe even especially someone who hasn't done as well in traditional formats. But then the winner has to perform in the traditional format -- no videos there!

My opinion is positive.

Awesome idea and a great way to get a free "lesson" from some of the world's best.

And the chance to see Maurice Murphy play a piccolo, shock horror

(had a great night out on Sunday - curry with a good friend (Rex Richardson) and Maurice Murphy, with his wife - haven't laughed as much for a loooong time - sorry to drop this in here, but I just wanted to gloat )

Nice lesson. I thought the "How do you do that?!" approach was funny. His playing in the orchestral video is amazing as well. Not bad for 73 years old! (Who am I kidding? Not bad for 33 years old!)
