Does anybody know where a trumpet geek can get his hands on a cool poster of Mendez- I've been a huge fan since middle school and all I seem to be able to find with regard to trumpet players are posters of Miles and Dizzy. It's nice to be able to honor a great player like Mendez and remember why we spend so many hours in the practice room. |

I framed my Mendez album (ahem, signed by the master himself) and have it on the wall of my practice area. Inspiring. Daunting. Great memory to see each day. _________________ Getzen 800DLX cornet

My father was lucky enough to be given a mouthpiece and a signed photograph of Mr. Mendez. He used to study with him. Actually he took several lessons and I was there for one ! He was a very kind man and always nice to me and my father. I remember him signing the photograph. My dad had it framed and put it in his practice room and used to play in front of it. |

HAHA! The fact that we're talking about one who posts about Mendez on a forum (A.N.A. Mendez) vs. a large printed picture of Raphael Mendez (what the thread is actually about). _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS

The print was nice! I dig it- but what about all those images on the archives at the museum? Can those be made into posters and sold or given away as prizes or something during the next ITG conference or The Medez Brass Institute? That would be a great idea... I think. |

You could have his image engraved on the bell of your horn. |

I think a t-shirt would be cool. Like the ones of Diz and other jazz cats on those black t-shirts. Do any of you know what company makes those ? |
