If he manages to not get voted off of the island and win the million bucks, he can keep playing gigs until the money runs out. _________________ Bryan Fields

Then again, he may get voted off just because he's a trumpet player. _________________ Bryan Fields

I have improved greatly every year since I quit playing full time 10 years ago. The crowds are more appreciative as well, and I have not missed a note yet this year. |

My guess is that he brought a mirror... |

Many youth orchestras have concerts that they do together with members of the local top-tier symphony. If he was in the NYC area, it could well be, or maybe his youth symphony in Indiana/Kentucky took a trip to New York to play a combined concert. Something along these lines seems most likely. It's pretty normal stuff for up-and-coming young players, I'm sure many of us have had/are having similar experiences in their youth orchestra days. I did, but it's not something to brag about. It's a great blessing and privilige to be allowed to sit with your region's top players, but not something that automatically qualifies you as "one of the best trumpet players in the world." (Sigh...) |

That's because you haven't played your (Easter) gig yet this year... |

There's this magic box, see, called a television and it displays moving pictures with sound. At least that's what I've heard. Sounds like a fad to me. Go to the library and look it up in the encyclopedia.

Adonna -- how is Billy handling your obsession with this guy? Is he worried? Is he growing a ponytail?

You know, with his name, I wonder if we should be watching out for his band of outlaws...

That's a really fair point. I am playing second, though, so I might be able to claim that if no one hears my missed notes, they didn't really happen.
But the other issue is what to do with the money I make from the gig. I'm deciding between a new air compressor or a potpourri of things like a Dremel tool, a couple of new shirts, and a good scotch. Any suggestions? |
