|
|
I just purchased a 1939 Holton at a thrift store the other day. I plays really well. I was attracted to it because it didn't seem to be a student horn as it has a lot of the features that pro horns have. There is no model number or name on the horn except for his signature and elkhorn wi on the bell. There is a little engraving after his signature but I cannot tell what it is. The horn has a reverse leadpipe and nickel upper casings on the valve block. Fixed third valve ring and a stop rod assembly on the bottom of the slide. Can anyone tell me any info on this? The holton loyalist is down. Thanks
Serial 12725x. last number x for security but there is a number. |

Here is the Holton section of Horn-u-copia, in case you hadn't checked there.
As you know, any other Holton information in an organized manner is hard to come by. Hopefully, someone on the forum has a similar one. _________________ Dave Rafferty Devillier Stencil (German) Besson 609

I found a number 45 on the bottom of the mouthpiece receiver if this helps. |
