Hello all,
One of my favorite recordings is Machito's 'Nague' (originally recorded circa 1940). This is also one of the baddest arrangements in the Latin Jazz genre. In case you don't have the recording, here is a link to the Youtube video of Machito's orchestra playing the song.
Since the liner notes of the CD do not list the personnel or the arrangers/orchestrators, I was wodering if any of the Latin-Jazz mavens could shed some light on this mystery.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure that's Mario Bauza on lead trumpet, also music director and arranger. _________________ Marc Osterer

It would have been in 1940. It might be Cachao on bass too...I don't have this one to check though....
