The Maryland National Guard Honor Guard play Kanstul Bb bugles

Today there is little difference between a "regulation bugle" and a "field trumpet". As Nate pointed out, trumpets today have conical elements. Our regulation bugle in Bb is built with our powerbore soprano bugle bell - as used on our Model 102 Powerbore Soprano which was widely used in the drum & bugle corps activity.
