Hi,

I am in the midst of restoring an early 60's Leblanc (made by Courtois) and I need advice of where to source parts.
Looking for:
Water Keys * 2
Lyre Holder * 1
Second Slide Nub * 1
Third slide ring and rod * 1

I am trying to keep the horn authentic and would prefer to replace with the right parts. If anyone knows of anyone with a junker or project horn could you let me know. As a note I have a recent Courtois cornet and the parts are identical so even a coutois junker might do the trick.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

You might consider trying courtois. They have been around a long time and perhaps they have NOS parts for your project.

Yes I have been watching that one as a possible donor horn. I also have a call into a guy at Buffet Crampon in florida hopefully I will have a call from him saying that there are some courtois parts available. I hate to tear apart one to fix another unless the donor is unrecoverable.

You might try Rich Ita at the Georgia Brass Instrument Workshop. I believe he's had PLBs in his shop and may have some parts around.

Hae a look at the 'Windcraft' website as they are very good for small bits and may well have all of those.

Checked with Windcraft and the GBIW and nothing yet. Going to phone back down to Buffet Crampon and see if anything has turned up. Thanks for the advice though Keep it coming as they are bound to turn up somewhere!

Sorry, this is off topic a bit. About that ebay cornet. Any one know what the extra slides do?
