Something tells me your offer won't be accepted....
I suspect Steve doesn't really want to sell this piece, but if some collector pays the asking price, why not?
An aside: I have a very early Parduba that doesn't play like any of the later non-HJ versions. It has a shallower cup and a different backbore. My theory is that the HJ models are similar to the very early pieces and the later ones were deeper as more players wanted a deeper cup.
