Wonder what it started as?
?New Olds cluster with Recording bell??
Where is the eBay topic when we need it?! _________________ Bill

Yeah, that Bach cornet is a little rough, eh? HAHAHA Poor thing. I'd pass on this thing even as a project horn.
Too bad about the eBay thread. Probably wasn't a real good idea to have only one thread entirely dedicated to eBay. I got another ebay scam e-mail today. Looks like it's sent from Twiawan saying this dealer has an identical item (1950 Bach trumpet) that I had bid on. I forwarded the e-mail to spoof@ebay.com

Wow! That is one funky olds. I gotta vote for a custom Recording model. Maybe the original buyer had them exchange the 3rd valve trigger with a 1st valve one. Bell and body are definitely Recordings but the swapped triggers throws me off. Maybe Zig Kanstul can provide some information.
There are silver Recordings out there, so the color scheme may be legit. The bell damage is not beyond hope, so this horn might be worth having just since it is a bit of an anomaly. I think I will stick with my "vanilla" 1968 Recording, however.

By prices over here, 700 pounds is a bit steep for an Olds Recording. Since no serial number is given, I can't judge the vintage, but it looks like a standard Recording, just in silver.
