Besson D Trumpet.
This is a sweet D trumpet made by Besson England in the ‘50s. It has a larger bore than say a Bach 304, but still a relatively small bore D at .415” Condition is excellent: the valves are fast and compression is like new. There are just a few lacquer wear spots at contact points, and a couple minuscule dents in the bell taper and flare. A former owner inscribed an ID number on the 3rd valve casing. Intonation is best with a slightly shorter-shanked C-trumpet piece. The original case is in fine condition other than the latch springs.
