I joined Louis Prima on lead in 1947 and went on to play lead with many big bands including Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Barnet, Billy May, Claude Thornhill, Woody Herman, Ray McKinley, Elliot Lawrence, Maynard Ferguson, Johnny Richards and others. I did the "1953 Benny Goodman/Louis Armstrong All Star Concert Tour," and did commercial playing in NY including Gleason, Ed Sullivan, Berle, Carson et al tv shows and many recordings and Broadway shows. Played for Gordon Jenkins with Judy Garland and many major performers. Recorded two solo albums in 1973 and 1976 on piccolo trumpet for RCA called "Al Stewart's Museum of Modern Brass." Still playing some in Sarasota.
Also had a number of photography exhibits.
