I will teach private students. I LOVE teaching, but only to those who actually WANT to take lessons to study. In other words, serious students are always welcome and I will tell you everything I know!
As an endorsing artist, I am currently a Getzen Trumpet endorsing artist. I also whole-heartedly endorse the Wedge Mouthpiece company out of Vancouver, BC. I have my own signature series.
As a jazz soloist, I can travel with my own quintet or will gladly appear with a house group in your venue. As a classical soloist, I could bring an accompanist but will also gladly work with your accompanist or ensemble.
I am willing to travel and overseas performances are welcome.
As a professional I have worked with members of the Chicago Symphony; I've worked for the Temptations, The OJays, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Sammy Davis Junior, Melissah Manchester, John Denver, Della Reese, Bill cosby, Bob Newhart, Bobbie Vinton, Pat Boone, Rich Little, Dennis DeYoung of Styx, to name a few. I am on two albums with Marshall Vente (lead trumpet and solo), one album for Guy Fricano (section trumpet), one album for Doug Lofstrom (lead trumpet), one album for Chuchito Valdez (lead trumpet) and I've played many radio and TV spots. Currently I work free-lance. I play the solo chair with the Chicago Grandstand Big Band. I write and produce my own music as well (see the website above). Finally I am an alum of the Maynard Ferguson orchestra (1981) and I have a music masters in classical trumpet performance.
