Eladio Paul Aguilar’s Musical Biography

I’ve been making music just about all of my life. So that makes an accumulation of my experience to be over 20 years.

I've played in church weddings and special events, ROTL youth band (principal trumpet player) including tours throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, and I've made a couple of studio recordings. I'm in the Guinness Book of World Records for being in the World’s Largest Marching Band that was directed by Danny Kay. I’ve performed in Mexico. I’ve performed live jazz in restaurants. I’ve had the honor of playing with famous musicians such as Barry White’s guitar player among others. I’ve played for dances, for the military, and I’ve performed "live” on radio several times throughout the entire Kern County. I’ve even played with a pit orchestra (several times as the principal trumpet player) for many well-known musicals such as the Sound of Music, Winter Wonderland, the Music Man, and so on with the Arise Academy Performing Arts organization in California.

My education in music includes college study in music theory and composition, orchestra and jazz bands, and piano. I’ve studied privately under Glenn T. Colangelo, a 5 year pupil of the foremost authority on the trumpet, Claude Gordon. And I've also studied privately for years under the renowned Professor Dave Evans (Brass Instructor for Cal State Long Beach, 13 year student of the famous Claude Gordon, former principal trumpet player of the Chapman Symphony, and Trumpet Soloist).

I've taught publicly in high schools for 2 years as a brass instructor, taught privately for several years, and coached Band Camp, too (including the placement of their musical chairs). Success is taught by the successful. When you are taught by the best, you become the best!

Thank you for your time and interest. I have samples of my work available if you want to listen to them. You can contact me at 505-306-7304 (my cell) if you have any request(s) or question(s).

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Eladio P. Aguilar
