| I am a nationally published illustrator and portrait artist. I began the trumpet at the age of seven and continued playing through high school and college. I am an avid record collector primarily of big bands, jazz and traditionlal pop and jazz vocalists. I follow the music scene quite closely and am even a fan of American Idol hoping against hope that a singer of the quality and style of some of the greats like Garland, Clooney, Torme, Day, Como, Sinatra, Haymes, Fitzgerald, Cole and numerous other vocal icons might emerge. My son is an outstanding lead trumpet and soloist with one of the U.S. Army's premier jazz ensembles and so my interest in the trumpet will always continue. |
