I played trumpet (Bflat) from the 6th grade through the tenth grade, with the school band. When I gave up the trumpet (due to dental problems) I had achieved 2nd chair (out of ten) of the trumpet section in our high school band. I have played only briefly a few times since, but still have my school band trumpet (a 1946 KING SILVERTONE), which is in very good condition, and very playable.
I am interested in playing again, hopefully with an organized band of some sort, where we rehearse on regular basis, and perform publicly.
In 1994 I joined and played with a local community band in Pennsylvania briefly. Had to quit to take a full time job with hours that interfered with the band's schedule. |
