| I'm just getting back into playing the trumpet after 20 years. In between, I got married, went to college, got a Ph.D., and cut my hair. Lots of other things too. My first trumpet instructor was Ralph Dudgeon, who is a specialist on the keyed bugle. But back then, he was just teaching high school band to us bunch of stoners and slackers. After playing the bass guitar in a rock band, and then retiring from music to do chemistry, I realized that I really love playing the trumpet. |
