I have been playing cornet/trumpet/flugelhorn for over 40 years, although I don't feel that old. Former member of the Canadian Staff Band of the Salvation Army. A brass band modeled after the typical British Brass bands. Currently play in my local Salvation Army band where I play solo cornet and also have the opportunity to play the occasional solo. Love jazz, especially "smooth" jazz. First listened to the jazz and vocal stylings of Chet Baker. Now, without a doubt, my favourite jazz musician is Chris Botti. I have seen him live twice in Toronto and will definately be first in line next time he is in the area.
Currently play a Besson 928 Sovereign cornet. Previously owned a classic Bach Strad ML bore trumpet. One of a kind horn that I had to sell:( |
