| A native of Barberton, Ohio, I began playing the cornet at age 10. Throughout my teens I played in bands, pit, and dance bands, as well as with the Ohio State Marching and Concert Bands during my college years. After a period away from the trumpet, I returned to playing as a student of Bernard Adelstein, then principal trumpet of the Cleveland Orchestra. Subsequently I've continued to play in various professional ensembles in Ohio. i also studied with jack sutte of the cleverland orch and wrote a book entitled fundamental studies for trumpet players. |
