Internet forums (the internet in general, in fact) are a relatively new form of communication that we, as a society, are still adjusting to. Maybe we will never fully adjust. It seems similar to road rage, in a sense - people feel protected in their car, and so swear and gesture and shout abuse at other people in a way that they wouldn't, for the most part, dream of doing if that person was stood right in front of them without the protection of a metal box on wheels.

Forums allow people the anonymity to be rude and abusive to people in a way that, for the most part, I doubt they would be in real life. However, it does afford the opportunity to ask 'stupid' questions, for want of a better phrase, without fear of embarassment.

Double edged sword.

Crap, Mork, it sounds like the same old world to me... It's only been recently, during the Age of the Wimp, that someone determined bullies were a bad thing and that everyone should just get along. Deal with them by not allowing them??? Not in most parts of the planet, they usually run the city/country/state/State/tribe. Not too far back, and still SOP in most parts of the world, people actively kill each other because they aren't the same religion- forget the same color.

Detroit may be a cesspool as compared to many parts of the US, but in comparison to New Delhi, Mexico City, or many other large urban/rural areas around the world, it's Utopia as far as safety and security is concerned. All a matter of perspective...

BTW, Mork- have you run across this entrepreneur in Motown yet? Eaten plenty of this in the past, still do the other small game whenever I can.

I love it. The article states: "He believes coon meat tastes something like mutton or pork, but to the uneducated pallet, it has the aroma and texture of opossum."
Makes me think of Granny:

Good, you can write stuff like this: Two guys walked into a bar, they sit down and order a drink, then the bartender beats a mime with a ceramic dog.
