If there were, the ideology police wouldn't have let Timofei Dokschitzer play a Benge all those years. Stalin ordered US weaponry donated to the Russian cause during WW2 stamped "Made in USSR". The Communists were very defensive about using non Communist equipment of any sort.
If you are asking have any Russian trumpet artisans emerged since the fall of the Iron Curtain, I have yet to hear of any, but give it time - I bet they come up with something. |

Well...we have heard for some time that tourists visiting Russia should take extra toilet paper with them. They seem to have a shortage. And...Levi jeans and windshield wipers are rumored to be good for bartering. So...maybe the Russians will make a decent horn AFTER they solve these other problems.
