Teacher approved / Doctor approved etc. etc. I'm sure some so-called teacher somewhere approves of this thing. The horn looks like some of the same junk the kids parents buy at discount warehouses and online music stores that fall apart after a year or so. |

Yea, I feel sorry for the uneducated/uninformed parents out there..... their logic is... why pay 20 bucks a month for a year when I can pay about 100 bucks and own this one... sad.. sad...sad... _________________ J. Fowler

Looks kind of like the Simca brand trumpet I played at Sam's. It actually played very well. Don't know about its longevity.
Maybe as a hoot I'll buy one and take it on a gig or two to see if it falls apart or anything bad happens. This ad doesn't even give a brand name, so I'm really reluctant, but if Sams' still has some I may take the plunge this weekend. Also, this could prove to be a chance to test Sams' warranty policy. (30-days, full refund, I believe).

A band director's worst nightmare. This is the first I've seen of this one though. I had a student bring in a trumpet from Sam's..bad news. Believe it or not the 1,2,3 valve combination was FLAT..very FLAT! Not even sure how you make a horn w/ that problem! Also, the tuning slide fit in better upside down than right side up..go figure.
So many parents just don't know any better.... |
