I learned the hard way (60.00 for one of those Simba cases) about bidding fever. I nibble about two hours before the auction is up to see what everyone's high bid is, if it gets within 20.00 of what I am willing to pay it gets deleted from my list. If not, I snipe one time with the max I am willing to pay AND DO NOT BID AGAIN....no matter what it is....or how badly I can't live without it.

I don't win a lot, but I get what I want at a good price.

Since my wife has informed me that my next trumpet will be a new mattress,
I just look at the eBay auctions and sigh....

i tend to snipe... i've got what i'm willing to pay... and i put it in w/ about 2 min left... when i had cable i did it w/ in seconds of the end... but w/ how fast 56k dial up is i give myself a safe spot...

then again i have't picked much up of late, and what i have bid on was over when i was at work so i had to bid ahead of time... or get the wife to snipe it
