I've been working on a music education application with the goal of making practicing more fun for music students. It's sort of a cross between a game (play the notes correctly to make them explode and score points) and a collaboration tool that allows users to compose or upload songs and piece together user performances to create "virtual ensemble" recordings. It has applications for teachers as well, for both private lessons and band classes, since it allows teachers to post music and make assignments that require students to submit recordings. For anyone familiar with SmartMusic, it's a bit like that, but more focused on the gaming elements and creative social collaboration. It's also just a web application, so there's nothing to install.
If anyone would like to try it, the current version is free to use at http://www.odogy.com. Any feedback would be appreciated! I'm hoping this can turn into a useful resource. |
