I've had them take up to 2 months.... BUT they all got there. Always a customs issue. _________________ "There is no necessity for deadly strife" A. Lincoln 1860

I've been lucky. I've never had a USPS international shipment not reach its destination. But it can take a long time, depending on the wait at the customs department of the destination country. Some countries process packages very quickly. Others, such as Canada (for example) are very slow. Still, reliable is better than fast. And Canada tends to be reliable.
Once the package is outside the US borders, USPS no longer has any control. If the package seems to be overdue, I have the recipient contact his or her local customs office, and try to resolve the issue from their end. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

As a Canadian who has bought several items from the States, I've rarely ever had issues with shipping times or lost items. The only issue I ever had was when I bought my Torpedo case and instead of USPS sending it directly north from Minneapolis to Winnipeg (logical, right?) it got sent East through Ohio and Illinois before crossing the border into Ontario. Took almost a month. Sat in customs for awhile. Mind you, this was during Christmas/New Years, so I can imagine that the customs folks were pretty busy during that time of year, anyway. |
