Check out this extremely nice Stomvi quad case. It measures 23” wide, 15” tall and 7.5” deep without music pouch. It features a hard polymer shell with foam interior, backpack and shoulder straps, a snap on/off music pouch, adjustable interior partitions, mouthpiece pouch, and 2 carrying handles.

Can you fit 21" long narrow-wrap horns?

Oh look, another knock-off of an already reputable case!

Because of the angled padding it will not fit a 23-inch horn. It is not deep enough to fit a flugelhorn bell. It will fit horns with bells up to 5.1/4 inches. It will fit 4 standard length trumpets or a combination of C. Bb, pic, and D/Eb in a rather compact safe hard shell case.

These are priced at $425.00 USD

Or maybe a highly reputable trumpet maker made a case with their own name on it to sell to their clients. No reason to call it a knock-off when it is a proven design. Is a Yamaha Xeno a "knock-off" of a Strad? I highly doubt anybody cares if it looks like another. If the shoe fits, wear it.

If you really want to bring it up, absolutely....

What case is this a supposed knock off of? Marcus Bonna?

The dimensions, dividers, and layout are very close to the Bonna quad, except that Stomvi said it won't hold a flugel.

Thanks. I was just looking at some Torpedo 2.5 cases. I'm sure the Bonna quads are expensive too. Maybe $425 isn't as high a price as I originally thought for this Stomvi case. I'm getting by with my Protec Flugel/trpt, Protec triple and a bunch of Bach and Yamaha double cases. Cool cases are a nice luxury though...

Here is more on our new Quad case. It can be configured to hold a small bell flugelhorn plus a Bb or C, and a piccolo. The trumpet players in the Spanish Brass travel with this case and place it in the overhead bins on flights. https://stomvi-usa.com/shop/stomvi-usa-discount-club/

I'm not just being grumpy. Either Stomvi has duped the design, or they are buying and rebranding the cases from this Spanish company:

Musical-Bags

The cases made by Musical Bags are really fantastic though! I think they beat any of the quad cases we see in the states. Not too pricey, either, about $350. They make a whole line, single through quad, with many varieties and colors. I know a few folks from that part of the land who use and love theirs.

Looks very nice! It's much better laid out than the MB TRIPLE which everyone is saying this is a rip off of. The MB quad requires stacking of horns which is just not safe to me. If I hadn't JUST bought a Brass Bag, I would have ordered this.

PS the MB triple with thinner dividers can hold 4 horns like this one. But this just seems like a fantastic design.

WAY TO GO STOMVI!

The flugel/picc in the last picture appear to be stacked.

You mean "Way to go Musical-Bags!" who've been building these cases for 10+ years!

No one contests that Marcus Bonna and Basili make nearly the same case, and we know why. Torpedo Bags have taken the idea and added their very unique twist. Protec does their thing in (mediocre) middle, and with their own flavor.

What irks me is when another company says something is "theirs" when in fact they've either copied some elses', or are rebranding.

That case costs more than I paid for a lot of the horns I own. I guess that makes me a cheapskate whichever way you look at it.

To be clear, yes this is a Bags product rebranded. It is a new case to us. Please forgive our excitement. We can now make this case available in the US. It may be available here as a Bags case but our search has not pulled a picture or availability of this case on the US distributors web site. It is not our assumption that it is unavailable in the US through the Bags distributor it is assertion that it is now available through us for those that are interested.
