Ive been doing research on the effect of high register playing on dogs, using my Jack Russell Terrier, Lucy, as a test subject. Thought you might be interested in the results.

High C = she wakes up, looks my way
C# = raises left eyebrow
D = opens both eyes wider
Eb = emits low moan
E = moan turns to low register howl
F = howl rises in volume, pitch
F# = she stands up, assumes defensive position, continues howl
G = begins to move toward me, howling intensifying
Ab = she grabs my pantcuff and pulls
A = she retreats to back bedroom; howling continues
Ab = neighbor calls to see whats wrong
Bb = neighbor calls again, threatening to call police
B = police at door
C = cop turns out to be trumpet player; wants to know what backbore Im using

Now that's funny.

My wife also collects lladro's. If I shattered one of hers it would no be so funny.

I'm safe though because me hitting Cx2 is not going to happen.

Good Stuff,
Phil

My dog (Shetland Sheepdog) runs out the room when she sees me reach for my reunion blues doubler bag. It's hilarious.
