Friends,

I wanted to make sure you are all aware that ChopSaver Lip Care (the SPF version) is now being sold in over 7,400 CVS/pharmacy stores across the US. If you haven’t tried ChopSaver because it was too hard to find, this should help solve that problem. Although CVS is still not in Colorado, Alaska, Wyoming, South Dakota, Idaho and Oregon, they are pretty much every else.

www.chopsaver.com

If you use the product, help me make sure it STAYS in CVS by picking up a tube soon and telling your friends, students and colleagues. I would really appreciate you spreading the word.

And if you aren’t a fan of ChopSaver, I think it is still pretty cool there is now a product hanging in a major US retailer with a trumpet player on it. I don’t know if that has ever happened before!

Thank you!

Dan

Thanks a.kemp!

Yeah, it's been an interesting (and yes, very difficult, at times!) 10+ year journey. I may write a book some day!

I will be going to the CVS Pharmacy around the corner from my house tomorrow to pick up a couple of tubes of it.
Thanks for posting this.

Dan,
I went to the CVS store this morning and I asked the young lady at the cash register if she had a lip balm called ChopSaver, she directed me to the aisle where the lip balms are displayed and lo and behold ....no ChopSaver.
So maybe the distribution has not reached Texas yet..

Some stores are faster at getting it out than others. You might ask the manager this question: "Can you tell me when the cough/cold planogram reset will be finished?" They were supposed to be done last week.

You might also ask for "Gosling's Original ChopSaver" as that is how it is listed in the system. Thanks for looking!

Great job, Dan. This will mean excellent distribution once the product gets to the stores. I love Chopsaver, and use it every night when i sleep.

Thanks Dave!

Our suggested price for CVS is $3.89. However, you might see it a little higher or even lower depending on the store.

You will notice that Costco sells the top 2 or 3 brands of any given product (when they can't slap Kirkland on it) and in large/bulk format. We have a ways to go before we are "Top 3," but we are working on it!

Dan

i paid 4.23 in Staten island NY, which is about right, i was happy to see it on the shelf, I wish the Non sunscreen version was available though, i'm not too fond of the 4 active ingredients you need for the SPF factor, I know they a clinically proven safe, but i prefer your green labelled product. But with only one peg available you probably picked the one that would be more widely accepted by the non musicians.

good luck

Just stopped at the CVS in 4000 Asbury Ave
Tinton Falls, NJ 07753 (visiting my mother in law for the holidays) but they didn't have it.

edit: I must add that the manager told me that they never heard of it before.

I just picked up a tube for $3.99 at CVS in Wake Forest, NC (northern suburb of Raleigh). I'm so happy to have it available locally!
