Chris Martin and Mark Hughes from the Atlanta Symphony and a player from the Empire Brass is what I heard tonight - from a very good source. |

I'm getting feedback that the third guy may not be who I was told. Chris and Mark are for sure (see the similar thread in the Orchestral forum).
Some say John Rommell is the third. I was told it was someone from Empire. Does anyone know for sure?
No sign of Mr. Fitzpatrick83. May have gotten hung up in customs! |

From the IU website:
John Rommel has been a professor of trumpet at the Indiana University School of Music since 1993. He is active as a soloist with student ensembles and as a chamber musician in IU faculty concerts. Before coming to Indiana, Mr. Rommel was principal trumpet player of the Louisville Orchestra. There he recorded more than 30 works by leading twentieth-century composers. He is also a former member of the Nashville Contemporary Brass Quintet, an ensemble in residence at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. Other chamber music collaborations have been with the St. Louis Brass Quintet, Summit Brass, and Proteus 7. An active recitalist and studio musician, Mr. Rommel has often appeared with organists Janette Fishell and Wilma Jensen. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Louisville, and his major teachers have included William Adam, Louis Davidson, and Leon Rapier.
Maybe they meant Summit Brass? Alternatively, Marc Reese from Empire Brass coul be the "Mark" mentioned? Perhaps we should just wait and see... _________________ Don Herman/Monument, CO
