I read on another thread that Mr. Adam would play the entire Charlier book in one sitting to test his endurance.

Is this true? Even if he never did, he probably could have!

I've read the same thing about Bud Herseth, but in that version he did it without taking the horn off his face until the last page. No idea if it's true.

Actually, with Bud it was the Top Tones book. "The entire book with 30 seconds of rest between each etude."

This was printed in an interview with Ron Modell in the ITG Journal years ago.
