In the picture, it looks like Roy is relaxed and not pressing the rim against his lips. So the rim actually looks pretty thin.
Also the lump/collar on this blank is very close to the outside of the bowl area. This looks like something else...
...definitely not the Kanstul Gustat 2....
...but what...?
I know Meeuwsen makes a jazz cup that's similar to the Heim 2. But, as far as I know, he has his own blank design. I consider the Heim 2 blank (and thin rim) a major factor in the way the mouthpiece feels and plays...
That's why this caught my attention, because other than Kanstul's and the (awful) modern Holton version, I have never seen another attempt to make a new Heim in a blank that looks like a Heim.
P.S.: ACB's H2 in a vintage blank is a modern mouthpiece that also looks like an older version of the Holton Heim but it does not look like this one on the picture.

That photo is from 2007. Not sure you can look at that mouthpiece and figure out what Roy is playing now. I saw him in D.C. Late last year and the mouthpiece he was using then looked very old and well used. Plus he is now playing daCarbo Trumpets.

I believe at one point he played a Kanstul G2 given to him by Claudio Roditi that was just inscribed "Roy," I don't know if he still plays it _________________ Listen
