I just saw a posting from a local musician here in Dallas that is a longtime friend of Larry's that said he passed yesterday from a blood clot. I didn't know him personally, but I knew he was a regular here. RIP Larry.

The bad news just keeps coming. First Jim Donaldson, now Larry. Great guys...both will be greatly missed by me, and many others.

Wow this is crazy . We dealt many times over the years both buying and selling between each other. I believe last time was this past May 2017 .
Larry I hope you took at least one trumpet with you to heaven . RIP and play well when you don't rest.

I have just got to meet and sell a NY Bach to Larry in late May... Right before he went to NTC. RIP.

It's always sad when something like this happens. We lost a member on TrumpetMaster not long ago too. I don't know the specific details other than he was riding his motorcycle on a weekend, and was involved in a collision that resulted in a serious head injury, in spite of the helmet he was wearing.

You just never know when your time is up.

Rest easy Larry.

That happened about four miles from my house, and it was a freak accident. People around here know that intersection, and that road has some difficult sight lines. However, an older lady who maybe should not have been driving came up to make a turn too fast and lost control. It actually was a Tuesday afternoon....

I didn't realize it was a weekday - for some reason I had the idea that he was riding on a weekend. I was bummed to hear about it - I'd always enjoyed Dave's presence on the forum, and when something like that happens so suddenly and out of the blue, it's a serious reality check.
