I am sure there are recordings and transcripts out there from Claude's Camps and from the various talks and presentations he gave throughout his career... Sadly, none of these have surfaced.

I know Jeff Purple used to have links to a variety of recordings of Claude on his website but I never got to access any of them while those links were active.

If anyone has recordings or transcripts of any Claude Gordon things, even lesson recordings, I'd be interested in collecting and compiling these for the greater good... Meaning hosting them somewhere. They can be accessed.

So if anyone has any such materials, please let me know!

Somewhere among the many boxes in my basement that went with me to Germany and came back in the container with my car from Germany are a videotape or two I made from at least one of the brass camps from around 1983 or 1984. Eventually, I will find them, digitize them, and make them available.

I also have all but one of the ten or so VHS tapes from Claude's teaching course that was used to create the concept of the "Claude Gordon Certified Brass Teacher" (Claude hired me back then to make the copies of the course that were sent out to students signing up for the course and also had me make a set of back-up tapes to keep for safety). One is MIA, but if and when I find it and can put the complete course together, I hope to make it available, too.

Any chance I can motivate you to do it sooner rather than later?

I would suggest that you buy Jeff's book in the Apple bookstore "Hit it Hard and Wish it Well". There is loads of great info in it. It is exactly what you are looking for.

Here are some of my printed lessons https://bolvinmusic.com/review-classic-claude-gordon-trumpet-lessons/
And if you go to the free stuff page https://bolvinmusic.com/free-stuff/
you can find some rare articles.

Hey Eric,

I actually was just reading those CG articles the other day, it's what reminded me how badly I wanted to get my hands on more of this sort of material

One of the CG lectures is back on my site and viewable with a verified account. I have about 200 lectures of Claude to post now and finally have a better way to present them with searchable text transcription and tags and other features.

I also have 20 hours of recorded lessons of Claude with a well known player that will be posted later.

For now, just create an account and you will see the first lecture on the home page when you are logged-in. I need to upload the other sound files as soon as I get past the Christmas season of gigs.

Jeff, i tried to make an account, but all those questions like "your last location" etc. made it too difficult, technically.
And i don't see the reason to give so many personal details, giving the hometown should be enough...

Write me directly through the site and give me your account name and I can over ride it. It should be easy with a smart phone. The geo location is actually going to turn into a cool feature with the site later too.
